Shef Scholars ACM 10 Basics Camp

1. Program Overview

The Shef Scholars AMC 10 Basics Camp (“the Camp”) is an online educational program designed to help students in Grades 6–8 prepare for the AMC 10 mathematics competition, specifically for AMC 10 problems 1-8. Participation does not guarantee any particular score or outcome on AMC 10 or any other competition.

2. Eligibility

Students must:
• Be in Grades 6–8
• Have access to a computer and stable internet connection
• Have permission from a parent or legal guardian to participate

Parents/legal guardians are responsible for ensuring the student meets these requirements.

3. Payment & Refund Policy

Enrollment in the Camp requires payment of the full tuition fee in advance. All payments are final. No refunds will be issued.
If a student is unable to attend live classes, recordings will be provided where applicable.

4. Attendance & Recordings

Live class attendance is encouraged for maximum benefit; however, participation is not mandatory. All live classes will be recorded and made available to enrolled students. By enrolling, parents/legal guardians give consent for:

  • The student to appear in class recordings

  • Recordings to be shared privately with other enrolled students and the Camp instructor

Recordings will not be published publicly without additional consent.

5. Student Conduct

Students are expected to interact respectfully with instructors and peers. Shef Scholars reserves the right to remove a student from live sessions (or from the Camp entirely) due to disruptive, inappropriate, or harmful behavior, without refund.

6. Intellectual Property

All learning materials provided during the Camp — including worksheets, problems, solutions, lectures, and recordings — remain the intellectual property of Shef Scholars. Students and parents agree not to:

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute materials outside the Camp

  • Share or post recordings publicly

7. Technology Requirements & Responsibilities

Parents/legal guardians are responsible for ensuring the student:

  • Uses appropriate hardware and software for participation

  • Maintains secure access to meeting links and materials

Shef Scholars is not responsible for interruptions due to technical issues outside our control.

8. Progress & Results

While the Camp provides instruction, practice, and feedback intended to help students improve, Shef Scholars does not guarantee improved scores, contest results, or qualification for future competitions.

9. Non-Affiliation with AMC

The Camp is not affiliated with AMC, MAA, or any official competition body.
